Why Did I Vote For You?
Over at The Liberty Papers, I asked myself why I voted for President Bush. Every day, I find myself more and more regretful for that vote.
Bush’s 27th veto threat put me over the edge. Bush’s administration is the worst-run of my conscious lifetime (that doesn’t count Carter, as I was born in ‘78), and only my support for his handling of the War on Terror still stands. Even that, though, his mishandling of public perception of that war is atrocious.
Why am I so upset with Bush? Go read and find out. What put me into this mood, even more than his 27th toothless veto threat? Bruce Bartlett’s book Impostor, which I highly recommend.
OK so I'm not really a cowboy. linked with Why Neolibertarians Voted For Bush

You voted for Bush because you didn’t want John Kerry in the White House…..
Lucy, my reason exactly.
However, Brad, like you I have learned not to waste that vote anymore. Even if the vote appears to be wasted, the Libertarian candidate, whoever that is, will get all my votes from now on. The wife and I even re-registered to change party affiliation on the local level.
I want my country back, the one that was in existence long before I was born, and I mean way way way back.
We Libertarians have been saying this for years… If you vote Republican (even as the lesser of two evils) and you expected to regain some freedom…you wasted your vote. You just thanked the Republicans for every big government action they’ve taken, and you’ve ask for more.
Even if a vote for a Libertarian doesn’t get him or her elected, it sends a message to the establishment about how much support there is for REAL liberty. They’ll start paying attention when LP candidates get 10, 15, 20% of the vote…because they’ll have to.

Why Neolibertarians Voted For Bush
Meant to reply to two posts by The Unrepentant Individual (Brad) and Anarchangel (Chris) earlier. But I’m in the middle of finals, so deal. They discuss why they voted for Bush despite his abysmal record.
Personally, I refused to vote for Bus…
