Thinning The Field

And no, that’s not about Election ‘08.

It’s about the name game. We’ve cut down our potential name pool by half.

To give a hint, it’s not going to be Sofia… I don’t want some kid writing a song like Johnny Cash about “A Boy Named Sofia”…

  1. Would the end of the song go:

“My name’s Sofia, nice to see ya, now you gonna die!”
Congratulations, bruh. I hope your first child is a masculine child…

  2. It’s a boy! So are you rethinking your choice of names?

  3. Awesome bro!! Personally, I think you should go with a name that is tough, strong, and evokes thoughts of power. Obviously, this name should be: TONKA!!

  4. Awwww! I was hoping it was going to be a girl…..I liked the Sofia name and you have to figure out a new name for that boy.

  6. About 1 in 100 times, the doctor makes a mistake when looking at the ultrasound. Granted, it’s easier to make the mistake the other way around, but you may simply have a girl with a cute little tail.

If not, there can be only one name for the child: Mongo.

P.S. Tell John to get back to the books!

  7. BTW, about your blog subtitle: according to Moral Orel, the 11th commandment is “Thou shalt be ashamed of thy natural anatomy.”

  8. Francois,

The 11th Commandment (according to Robert Heinlein) is basically “If you’re going to break the previous 10, don’t get caught.”

If you mouse over the “11th Commandment” in the subtitle, it links to the definition…
